Mari Duckler

I'm Mari! I am a Wisconsin raised, NYU educated, Chicago based actor and vocalist. I graduated from NYU Steinhardt with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance/Musical Theatre in May of 2020 and decided to move to Chicago in September of that year. I thought I'd only stay for the year...but here we are! During my time in this beautiful city I've had so many amazing opportunities to create art and spread joy. I have had a lifelong passion for TYA, and have been part of the Chicago Kids Company for two wonderful seasons. I've had wonderful opportunities at PrideArts and Surging Films and Theatrics, understudying a kinky Christmas Panto and dancing my heart out in A Bronx Tale. I am also a lead vocalist for the band Heatwave within Yazz Events, a wedding/events/party band & AV company. And last, but certainly not least, while in the midst of the pandemic I taught myself guitar and have since found a new passion in songwriting.

I take pride in being a self proclaimed, "offgenue." To me, this means that roles and opportunities most interesting to me are diverse and challenging. I would love to swing for Cinderella and play a stepsister for the matinee and Cinderella at night! 

I love music and theatre because it brings so much joy to so many people. I hope that comes through not only from the material you find on this page, but also in all future projects I choose to collaborate on.
